cPanel Tutorials - MultiPHP Manager
howdy this is Rosie our Sulli a technical writer for cPanel the hosting platform of choice today I will show you how to use the multi PHP manager interface in cPanel you can use the multi PHP manager to manage your domains PHP version being able to manage the PHP version that your domain uses means that you can continue to use older versions of PHP to run your websites whenever the system PHP version changes to a more advanced one while we recommend that you update your PHP version as soon as you can the settings in the multi PHP manager interface provide the flexibility to implement those updates let's login to cPanel and take a look at the multi PHP manager interface search for the multi PHP manager in the search bar or you can find it in the software section in the interface you will see the system PHP version that the system administrator sets in my case the system PHP version is PHP 7.2 the next section set PHP version / domain contains the PHP version menu as well as a domains table from the menu I can select a PHP version that's different from the system PHP version and apply it to one some or all of my domains the domains table below it has four columns a checkbox column the domain column the PHP version column and the PHP fpm column the domain names listed in the domain column are the domains in my cPanel account the PHP version column displays the PHP version for each domain the PHP fpm column displays whether my system administrator enabled PHP fpm for my domain the column will display a check mark if enabled and an X if it is disabled currently all of my domains have the same PHP version however my example one dot info website uses an older version of WordPress that uses PHP 7.0 but doesn't use PHP 7.2 since I'm having some issues with that website I want to change its PHP version from 7.2 to 7.0 so that the website will run better let me show you how to do that I will find the example 1 info domain in the table and click its check box then I will select a PHP version from the PHP version menu I will select PHP 7.0 then click apply the success message confirms the change and that's it once I update WordPress on the example1 info website to a version that can handle PHP 7.2 I will repeat the process and select the correct PHP version for more information about cpanel visit cpanel calm or follow us on twitter at cpanel oh and don't forget to subscribe to our youtube channel cPanel TV thanks for watching Oh
