cPanel Tutorials - How to Use the Force HTTPS Redirect Feature hi there I'm Lawrence Simon a technical writer on the documentation team at cPanel your hosting platform of choice the force HTTP redirect feature allows you to automatically redirect visitors to the secure version of your website let's say that you've secured your website with an SSL certificate whether through our auto SSL feature or one that you've purchased through the cpanel market I'll go to the secure version of cPanel demonstration com see the lock symbol that means our connection is secure sometimes visitors still use insecure bookmarks or links to your website to access it I'll go to the insecure version of cPanel demonstration com see there is an insecure connection no lock symbol let's see the feature in action go ahead and login to cPanel here we are in the cPanel home interface scroll down to the domains section and click domains the domains interface will appear it displays a table that lists all the domains on your account in that table you'll see the fours HTTP redirect column let's locate the domain that you wish to redirect set the appropriate force HTTP redirect toggle to on a success message will appear now let's go back to the insecure version of cPanel demonstration com notice how it redirects us to the secure version and we see a secure lock symbol in the location bar that means we're using a secure connection to the site let's go back to the domains interface you can toggle several of your domains to enable or disable force HTTP redirects with the option at the top of the table just select the checkbox for each domain and then select whether you want to toggle them all on or off a confirmation message will appear there's one more thing that you need to know about this feature when you point at this question mark icon you'll see a message and on domains and Park domains inherit their settings from their associated domains let's click the gear icon and then click show Associated subdomains The Associated subdomain for that add-on domain will appear and you can now set up for sh t TPS redirect for it there is another confirmation message I'll put a link to the documentation in the video's description ok for more about cpanel your hosting platform of choice go to cpanel comm or follow us on twitter at cpanel let us know if you found this video helpful leave a comment and subscribe to our youtube channel for more helpful videos like this one thank you for watching and enjoy securely [Music]
